The fancy gold, silver and bronze cape trims can stay with the GvG champions, but what about some kind of "not-so-fancy" cape trim that absolutely everyone has access to under certain circumstances.

Kinda like end-game golds/greens, maybe allow guilds to get a new trim by accomplishing something PvP OR PvP related.

(don't go screaming yada yada the GvG guilds have this for yada yada.)

But just some kinda of new thing for guild capes, because as of late, they are still relatively boring, when the emblem contests were going we got a few new emblems ya, but that is hardly anything that really spices a cape up.

Maybe (as a guild leader) you can gain a new unique background for completing Prophecies or Faction, or a new trim for completing elite areas with a guild team (or at least 1/2 guild members) or a new cape shape for making some other accomplishment.

This would limit it so that Anet does not have to make an ass-load new amount of trims/shapes/backgrounds/emblems but merely just a few special ones for accomplishments made by the guild or guild leader.

you already get a monument thing in your HoM and a title in some cases for those things. a cape trim too? save that for gvg. anet has better things to worry about

Trims are special for GvG like /rank is special for HA. Keep it like that.

so what is for PvE? Titles? Armor that everyone and their dog has? why not add something similar in difficulty as Rank and cape trims, but maybe make it PvE related. (don't say tormented weapons or crap like that, you can't even see them in towns...and they aren't even that nice to look at.)

I would love to make my cape pop out a bit more. But i guess only the 1337 PvPers have the ability to do that right?

wouldnt these be essentially a title? beat proph and get a trim or the protector of tyria titles

Protector requires both mission/bonus of all missions, but "beating" proph pretty much only requires you to complete the mission portion of Hell's.

But more or less you would need at least 1/2 your party as guild members to gain the trim for your guild. etc. etc.

So getting an end game green and a monument isn't enough, so you want to take the one thing that's special about GvG and let PvErs get it easily?

I said the GvG champions CAN KEEP THE GOLD/SILVER/BRONZE trims, this would be a different change to cape design/shape, I just used trim as an example.

Read the FIRST line of my post. And Green items, effect 1 person, as well as the monument, this would be a cape change that effects the guild as a whole. not just the individual.

well this would be too easy.

my idea:

choice of 3 different trims when alliance gets XXX factions, every guild in alliance would have access to it via guild emblemer. i honestly think there should be more reward then just owning a town. when a guild looses the town or looses the requiered amount of factions they loose the trim to the previous one

choice of 3 different trims when a guild reaches a certain age, lets say like birthday presents to characters. and even if they chose another one this trim will be available from then on.

choice of 3 different trims when the guild gets Guild of the week

those might make the guild alittle more personalised, rather then just another guild tag in town as it is now. technically, those wouldn't be as hard to reach then the top 3 on the ladder, and maybe would motivate people to:

1- play the game more
2- be more loyal to the guild
3- keep the guild together rather then disban a 3 years old guild and move on

I did read your post, and I'm well aware you don't mean PvErs get gold/silver/bronze. Bottom line is, trims were made for GvG only, and should stay that way.

im not sure but how many guilds can possible win this?

what i was trying to suggest is something that can be available to all guilds who actually play the game, faction farm or whatever. i mean, when an alliance own a town, theonly name mentioned is the leaders, while everyone was working hard. maybe this way people will actually play the game more and feel more dedication to maintain their guilds

If you want it so not everyone and their dogs have it, it pretty much has to be for r5/6 koabd.

um, you don't want everyone and their dog to have it, yet you want to make it easy to have, nice logic. Rank 5 koabd is fairly easy to get anyhow, just mostly grind.
